About CIRHSS
CALICUT ISLAMIC RESIDENTIAL HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL, Kozhikode (CIRHSS, Kozhikode), is an institution under the management of The Calicut Islamic Cultural Society. Sowing a seed for the present CIRHSS was the magnificent idea came up from the opinion of K.V. Aboobacker Haji, owner of the business firm, KV Complex,Kozhikode. The dream and motto behind the idea was to provide formal education based on spirituality to Muslim children.
A sub committee comprising Retired Judge Abdullakutty Sahib as Chairman,Janab TPM Sahir as Secretary and MESCO Aboobacker Haji Sahib as Manager, was formed to work out the plan. On 09-06-1980, Janab Muhammed Sahib (Ernakulam) inaugurated the school at Kalathikkandi house, Feroke Petta. Professor E.T. Abdulla Sahib, retired principal of Farook College, took charge as the first principal of the school in the inaugural meeting on the same day. Later, it was decided to find a suitable place for the school building at Parayankadu Hill and to run the school in an extensive manner.
With the advent of the school, Parayankad Hill was renamed as Farhan Hill. A building was constructed with ten rooms. The school, inaugurated at Kalathikandi, Petta, which was shifted to Kolathara due to some technical reasons, was relocated to a two-storey building in Farhan Hills.
In the beginning the UP section got approval, later the HS and the LP sections were approved by the Government of Kerala. It is also noteworthy that the school provided training for the Afsal Ul Ulama Entrance. Today, there are separate blocks for each section- LP, UP & HS and HSS. Presently HSS section of the school has Commerce and Science batches with entrance coaching wing.
Our school has been maintaining cent percent result in SSLC for the last many years. The increase in the number of SSLC A+ winners and the considerable increase in the pass percentage of PLUS 2 students with high score are the clear sign of quality education and the dedicated service the school has been providing.
CIRHSS, is an educational institution that sincerely provides value-based education for the betterment of the community and the progress of the nation. It is evident that the foresight of K.V. Aboobacker Haji bore fruit and the school has been proudly holding its head ever higher.

The school is situated at Mathara in Olavanna Panchayath, nearly 7 km away from the Calicut railway station and just 1 km from the highway. The School is unique in many respects. The location, being away from the din and bustle of the highways, provides a calm and quiet atmosphere ideal for effective learning.
